This region boasts some unique and interesting green spaces and provides great outdoor entertainment. Cleveland

Acacia Reservation

Should you find yourself in Cleveland, there are many great parks in northern Ohio as well. One of which is Acacia Reservation. Boasting 155-acres of green space in the Cleveland suburb of Lyndhurst. The park features a 1.7 mile paved walking and biking loop along with many great places for picnics and relaxing.

Cincinnati

Cincinnati Nature Center at Rowe Woods

A beautiful walk with lots for children to interact with, the Cincinnati Nature Center at Rowe Woods is perfect for an afternoon outside with the family. Walk around the ponds and nature trails while the kiddies explore nature and are able to play with their environment.  

Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens

Just north of Cincinnati, this garden is a wondrous play place for young and old children. The Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens features a fairy garden, giant treehouse, ponds, a life-sized dollhouse, and model trains. This is a great way to keep your grandkids entertained for an afternoon of photo ops.

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum

If you are into the arts, this is the perfect park for you. The Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park is the best park for walking around and appreciating the aesthetic of sculpture. This outdoor museum features sculptures, paintings, historical objects, and performances. Get some steps in while getting some fresh air and appreciating the arts.

Bellevue Hill Park

Just outside the University of Cincinnati, Bellevue Hill Park offers a grand view of the entire Cincinnati basin. While you visit you can admire the historic district’s architecture that dots the Cincinnati landscape.

Eden Park

Eden Park boasts a large plot with miles of walking trails and tourist activities. Take a segway tour or visit the Butterfly House during your trip.

Northern Kentucky

George Rogers Clark Park

Located on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River in historic Covington, George Rogers Clark Park lays along the mighty waterway and features a perfect view of the Cincinnati skyline. While the park does not contain a playground, it makes up for it in charm. Perfect for picnics in a green space found on the edge of a bustling city, this little park is great for a romantic lunch as you watch the ferries cross the river.

Goebel Park

If you’ve ever driven pasty Covington, Kentucky on I-75, you’ve likely seen the clock of Goebel Park. This clock tower is at the center of this Pied Piper-themed park. The tower features a mechanical puppet show production of the Pied Piper of Hamelin that plays every hour on the hour from April to December.
